Thoughtful and Kind I just wanted to say how grateful we are to Grant and his team. They were kind and thoughtful at all times and helped make my Dad’s simple funeral really special. I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for all that you have done since my Nan passed. Leah - from start to finish you've been there, all the reassuring calls and emails, nothing was ever too much hassle. As always, the service has been first class, from Paul coming to take Nan from home like a magician (one minute they were there and the next they were gone), to Grant helping Mum and Dad when they came in to arrange the funeral, to arranging the live streaming to family members abroad and recommending the most fabulous Celebrant - James Cooper, and not to forget the photo video tribute, which was out of this world. John ensured the funeral went seamlessly on the day. It was the perfect send off for her. Even though I live in Clacton now, I would never want anyone else to provide funeral services for loved ones. There is no one better.

The Crème de la Crem?



As a minister in the Church of England for 40 years I got to see a lot of Funeral Directors going about their established work, undertaking the necessary but uncomfortable business of death. It is a different matter however when it comes to receiving their ministry when you are on the receiving end.

Such was my position nearly five years into retirement when my own father passed away at 102! From the moment I telephoned Paul on Sunday morning until the day of the funeral and beyond, John Brand and his dedicated team of professional undertakers showed us a superlative level of care and concern that was second to none. I worked as a professional with many teams but the twenty six and a half years spent with L.E. Brand and Sons Ltd were a shining example of how care for the bereaved and the management of their funeral needs should be carried out. As a personal mourner myself on a number of occasions and now most recently in this most acute of griefs, I have experienced their service at the very highest level.

Putting this at it's simplest ... they are simply the best!

Unfortunately we have had to use Brands funeral directors recently twice in 10 weeks .Rocky and the team have been absolutely outstanding regarding all arrangements and dealing with our emotions and needs professionally . Thank you

I can't thank Rocky and the team at Brands for the beautiful journey they sent my mum on . From the first phone call it has been dealt with such compassion. They guided us on mums finaI journey i was so nervous about getting it right for mum . Right from the beginning the Brands team was with us all the way . Cremation of M Chambers At a time of losing a loved one, there are so many things that need to be done, but the thought of which brings sadness, anxiety and emotion. Arranging a funeral is one of those. I was recommended L.E Brand & Sons and am so happy that I was.
